I’d been looking for a high quality yet relatively inexpensive camping outdoor survival knife with a fixed blade. I settled on the Morakniv (Mora) Bushcraft Black. It’s really nice, as you’ll be able to see with this unboxing.
– 3.2mm thick carbon steel blade with tungsten anti-corrosive coating
– 4.3 inch blade, and 9.1 inches overall
– Rubber grip
– Partial tang (but that doesn’t appear to matter for toughness and durability)
– Black plastic sheath with two belt connectors (attachment system)
As far as first impressions go, I’m quite pleased with the look and feel, build quality, and price. I’m looking forward to testing it out with some wood carving/processing, fire starting, and general cutting, etc.
