Monday Mornings Suck

Why is it that Monday mornings really suck? Do we get our sleep schedules screwed up by sleeping in on the weekends, and therefore don’t get enough sleep Sunday night? Or is your job so depressing that you start each week in such a “this is a drag” state of mind?

Whatever the reason, Monday mornings can suck. But they don’t have to.

I see two immediate ways you can improve your Mondays. First, have a positive mental attitude. With the right outlook and perspective, you’ll be able to face just about any hardship.

The other way is to get a new job or career. If you aren’t doing something that moves you and gives you a sense of purpose, starting another week of work can be disheartening. Being positive will also help in this situation, but I think you should also look at a longer-ranging solution. Finding a new job or entering a new career field can be a big deal, but if it’s a step in the right direction, maybe those dreary Monday mornings won’t feel so bad.
