Watching the Blue Angels fly around the Gulf Coast (Pensacola Beach) was fantastic. The video doesn’t do justice to their power, the sound, and the raw energy you feel when those jets scream at you as they fly overhead. If you get the chance to see them in person, do it.
This wasn’t the official air show, but rather their dress rehearsal the day before the show. It was a little overcast that day (Friday), but on Saturday, the sky was blue and the clouds were in the distance. You’ll have to catch some of that footage in my other Pensacola Beach video, which may or may not be uploaded yet. I’m posting this one first, so I still have to edit the other footage together.
All footage was shot on my Samsung Galaxy S6 at 1080p 30fps. I had it set that way so I could take advantage of autofocus and tracking and such. But…as you can see, when I was at full zoom, sometimes the autofocus would lose track of itself and go all blurry.
